Welcome to The
Moanalua High School is proud to host the World Language Learning Center, the only Learning Center supporting World Language instruction across the state. Through the WLLC, the Moanalua World Language department is able to offer the students taking a World Language opportunities they may not find elsewhere.
Our Classes
All students enrolled in a World Language Class are considered members of the World Language Learning Center. We offer the following classes at Moanalua High School.

Moanalua-Kokutaiji Sister-School Program
Each year, Hiroshima Kokutaiji Sr. High School sends their entire Junior class to Hawaii for a class trip. Moanalua High has had a Sister-School relationship with them from 2001. Students in all World Language classes take part in the days festivities.
TEROOS Video Exchange
Students will have a chance to speak with students from Osaka, Japan during this video conference. Using a shoulder-mounted robot, TEROOS, students in Japan will be able to manipulate our robot and our students will be able to manipulate the robot in Japan for an exciting exchange.
Students in various language classes will host small groups and classes for short conversation and activity sharing sessions. Informal visits create the perfect opportunity for students to apply their language acquisition to real life situations.
Visiting Class Activity
Students in all World Language classes, joined by peers of other schools, will present their own unique speeches in front of their peers and a panel of judges as part of this amazing event. Each year participation has increased. We are hoping to make this year's event even better.
